Nils Fischer joins Liefergrün

The 36-year-old was previously on the advisory board. Now he is COO and wants to accelerate the growth of the delivery start-up.
Liefery founder Nils Fischer has been COO at Liefergrün since the first of November. The 36-year-old is moving from the Advisory Board to the new role. He began his career at DHL and Lufthansa Cargo. In 2014, Fischer then founded Liefery, a delivery service for large e-commerce retailers. Majority owner Hermes shut down the business in 2021. Since then, Fischer has advised various start-ups. Fischer is now responsible for operations at Liefergrün.
Founded in 2020, the company claims to be Germany's leading provider of sustainable parcel deliveries. Cargo bikes and e-vans deliver parcels to doorsteps. Its customers include H&M, Adidas and Dyson. Liefergrün has just announced its first expansion into Austria and a collaboration with DB Schenker. Other European countries are soon to follow. The start-up raised a total of 15 million euros in two rounds in 2022.
According to Fischer, conventional logistics companies are not well equipped for emission-free deliveries. He therefore sees enormous growth potential in Liefergrün. "We want to guarantee well-planned, flexible delivery by professional, friendly suppliers in modern electric vehicles," says the new COO. "This is a complex task, but I believe we can achieve this goal faster than conventional providers."
