Ottonova now cooperates with Gini Pay

Together with Consorsbank, the two start-ups have set up a service that makes it easier for privately insured people to pay bills digitally.

A service from payment start-up Gini Pay aims to make it easier for people with private health insurance to pay medical bills. The health insurance start-up Ottonova is the first partner of Gini Pay and will now offer a new remittance function called Gini Pay Connect. Consorsbank is now also working with Gini Pay on this.

Ottonova and Gini Pay developed the feature together. Customers can use it to transfer the payment information for doctor's bills, pharmacy bills etc. from the Ottonova app to the Consorsbank banking app - and then complete the transfer. The companies want to offer customers an "unbureaucratic, simple and seamlessly integrated billing and payment process". This is because the reimbursement process for medical invoices has been time-consuming and administratively complex for privately insured customers.
