Pflegix cooperates with Vonovia

The start-up aims to help people find the right support or care. Vonovia tenants are now to make use of this in a pilot project.
The housing company Vonovia is cooperating with the start-up Pflegix. The aim of the collaboration is to give Vonovia tenants access to home-related services via the Pflegix platform.
Pflegix is an online marketplace for care, support and everyday help. Andreas Helget and Tim Kahrmann founded the start-up in 2016. The platform is used to place care professionals and everyday helpers with people in need of assistance, such as senior citizens. The Generali subsidiary Europ Assistance recentlyacquired a majority stake in Pflegix.
The start-up is now to provide care for Vonovia tenants in Essen as part of a pilot project. "It is often difficult for older residents in particular to cope with everyday life independently," says Michael Klöpsch, Vonovia Regional Area Manager. He is therefore delighted with the support from Pflegix. The housing company owns over 11,000 apartments in Essen. Tenants can now request help with household chores, childcare, shopping or visits to the doctor. The pilot project will initially run for twelve weeks.
