Pflegix cooperates with Vonovia

The start-up wants to help people find the right support or care. In a pilot project, Vonovia tenants are now to make use of this service.
The housing company Vonovia is cooperating with the start-up Pflegix. The collaboration is intended to give Vonovia tenants access to household-related services via the Pflegix platform.
Pflegix is an online marketplace for care, support and everyday assistance. Andreas Helget and Tim Kahrmann founded the start-up in 2016. The platform is used to provide care professionals and everyday helpers to people in need of assistance, such as senior citizens. Only recently, the Generali subsidiary Europ Assistance acquired a majority stake in Pflegix.
Now the start-up is to provide care for Vonovia's tenants in Essen in a pilot project. "It is often difficult for elderly residents in particular to cope with everyday life independently," says Michael Klöpsch, Vonovia's regional division manager. That's why he's pleased to have the support of Pflegix. The housing company owns over 11,000 apartments in Essen. Tenants can now request help with household chores, childcare, shopping or doctor's visits. The pilot project is initially scheduled to last twelve weeks.
