Pre-seed round for Düsseldorf Stylique

A former Amazon manager and a strategic partner took part in Stylique's financing round, which amounted to a mid-six-figure sum.

The Düsseldorf-based interior design start-up Stylique has completed its pre-seed financing round: "We actually wanted to raise 200,000 euros in capital, but now we've received a mid-six-figure sum," founder Manan Voskanian told the Rheinische Post. The Düsseldorf-based company started looking for investors back in September 2020, and now an as yet unknown strategic investor and Hauke Hansen, who is a partner at London-based private equity firm Triton Partners, are participating. Hansen was previously responsible for logistics in Europe as a manager at Amazon.

Stylique intends to invest the money in building up the company and expanding the team. The Düsseldorf-based company offers help with furnishing by displaying images on its website for inspiration. The links are not to furniture, but to wall paint, door handles or tiles, for example. In future, Stylique will not sell building materials and products, but will link to other retailers, manufacturers or architects, thereby expanding the range on the platform.The team will not only grow in Düsseldorf, but also in the subsidiary in Armenia. Six developers have been employed there so far: "We would never have been able to build up these resources in Germany with our existing means," says Voskanian to the Rheinische Post. She founded the start-up in 2017 together with Alexander Lenz.
