Pre-seed round for Düsseldorf Stylique
A former Amazon manager and a strategic partner participated in Stylique's financing round, and the sum is in the mid-six-figure range.
Düsseldorf-based home furnishings start-up Stylique has closed its pre-seed funding round: "We actually wanted to raise 200,000 euros in capital, but now we've received a mid-six-figure sum," founder Manan Voskanian tells the Rheinische Post. The Düsseldorf-based company started looking for investors back in September 2020, and now an as-yet-unknown strategic investor and Hauke Hansen, who is a partner at London-based private equity firm Triton Partners, are participating. Hansen was previously a manager at Amazon responsible for logistics in Europe.
Stylique wants to invest the money in building up the company and expanding the team. The Düsseldorf-based company offers help with furnishing by displaying pictures on its website for inspiration. Links are then not the furniture, but for example wall paint, door handles or tiles. In the future, Stylique will not sell the building materials and products, but will link other dealers, manufacturers or architects, thus increasing the range of products on the platform. The team will not only grow in Düsseldorf, but also in the subsidiary in Armenia. Six developers are employed there so far: "In Germany, we would never have been able to build up these resources with our previous means," Voskanian tells the Rheinische Post. She founded the start-up in 2017 together with Alexander Lenz.
