Raisin and Moonfare cooperate on private equity offering

Until now, investments in private equity funds were mainly reserved for institutional investors. Thanks to the cooperation with Moonfare, Raisin customers can now invest in the funds.
The fintechs Raisin and Moonfare have entered into a cooperation. Via the Raisin investment platform Weltsparen, private investors can now invest in private equity funds from a minimum investment amount of 200,000 euros. By integrating the Moonfahre offering, Raisin is adding another asset class to its business model.
"With Moonfare, we enable private investors to participate easily and directly in top-tier private equity funds and benefit from the high returns. Our aim here is to democratize investing in private equity," says Moonfare Managing Director Steffen Pauls. Actually, investments via private equity funds are mainly reserved for institutional investors. This is because private equity investments are not traded on the stock exchange and the minimum investment amount is usually in the millions.
Raisin has held unicorn status since the end of last year. Previously, the fintech mainly offered savings products for private and corporate customers as well as ETF-based investment products. Moonfare is also successful and raised 125 million US dollars for its expansion last November(we reported).
