Raisin and Moonfare cooperate on private equity offering

Until now, investments in private equity funds were mainly reserved for institutional investors. Through the cooperation with Moonfare, Raisin's customers can now invest in the funds.

Fintechs Raisin and Moonfare have entered into a cooperation. Through the Raisin money investment platform Weltsparen, private investors can now invest in private equity funds from a minimum investment amount of 200,000 euros. By integrating the Moonfahre offering, Raisin is thus adding another asset class to its business model.

"With Moonfare, we enable private investors to easily and directly participate in top-tier private equity funds and benefit from the high returns. Our goal here is to democratize private equity investing," says Moonfare CEO Steffen Pauls. Actually, investments via private equity funds are mainly reserved for institutional investors. This is because private equity investments are not traded on the stock market and the minimum investment amount is usually in the millions.

Raisin has held unicorn status since late last year. Until now, the fintech mainly offered savings products for private and corporate customers as well as ETF-based investment products. Moonfare has also been successful, raising $125 million for its expansion last November(we reported).
