Raisin wants to compete with Solarisbank

Raisin Bank cooperates with Mambu for Banking as a Service. This allows other fintechs to use the company's banking license.
Raisin Bank has launched its own banking-as-a-service offering. The bank uses the cloud of the Berlin-based banking unicorn Mambu. Competitors such as C24 Bank from comparison platform Check24, N26 and Solarisbank are also building their banking business on the Mambu service.
"With Mambu, we have increased the speed at which we scale processes and develop new applications. This move puts us in the right position to meet the rapidly growing demand for digital banking solutions," says Chief Commercial Officer Andreas Wolf of Raisin Bank about the decision.
Raisin Bank is backed by Raisin DS, a merger of Raisin and Deposit Solutions. The company achieved Unicorn status in July of this year(we reported). Raisin Bank has been in existence since 1973 and was called MHB Bank before the takeover by Raisin. The bank offers its own loans and helps other fintechs without a Bafin license to grant loans. Raisin Bank also recently invested in the "buy now, pay later" fintech Billie(we reported).
