René Theis becomes Chief Financial Officer at Wiwin

The former Head of Overall Bank Management at PSD Bank West will now support Wiwin's management.

René Theis is the new Head of Finance at the sustainability-focused investment platform Wiwin. The 37-year-old is to further professionalize the processes in the finance area and thus pave the way to the capital market. He expands the management team, which previously consisted of Head of Marketing and Organization Sigrid Niederlintner, Head of Sales and Product Jonas Klose and Head of Investment and Portfolio Management Gunter Greiner.

"I want to finally make an active contribution to making the financial sector more sustainable - and Wiwin offers me more opportunities than ever to do just that," says Theis. He was previously Head of Overall Bank Management at PSD Bank West. In this position, he was responsible for the bank's finance division and digital transformation and ensured that PSD met its regulatory requirements. Theis has also previously worked for the Japanese Mizuho Bank and Comdirect Bank.

The company founded by Matthias Willenbacher operates an investment platform. Wiwin arranges capital for sustainable projects in the areas of real estate and renewable energies. Sustainable start-ups can also receive capital. In the first quarter of this year, Wiwin says it brokered around ten million euros. Last year, the volume was around 20 million euros.
