René Theis becomes Chief Financial Officer at Wiwin

The former head of overall bank management at PSD Bank West is now supporting Wiwin's management.

René Theis is the new Chief Financial Officer at Wiwin, an investment platform that focuses on sustainability. The 37-year-old is to further professionalize the processes in the finance area and thus pave the way for access to the capital market. He expands the management team, which has so far consisted of marketing and organization head Sigrid Niederlintner, sales and product head Jonas Klose, and investment and portfolio management head Gunter Greiner.

"I finally want to actively contribute to making the financial industry more sustainable - and that's exactly what Wiwin offers me more than ever," says Theis. He previously headed overall bank management at PSD Bank West. In this position, he was responsible for the bank's finance division and digital transformation, and ensured that PSD met its banking regulatory requirements. In addition, Theis has already worked for the Japanese Mizuho Bank and for Comdirect Bank.

The company, founded by Matthias Willenbacher, operates an investment platform. There, Wiwin brokers capital to sustainable projects in the real estate and renewable energy sectors. Sustainable start-ups can also receive capital. In the first quarter of this year, Wiwin said it had brokered around ten million euros. Last year, the volume was around 20 million euros.
