The start-up SalsUp is now valued at ten million euros. It is also expanding its shareholder base.

Look for start-ups to invest in, provide companies with capital - that is the principle behind SalsUp. The company connects small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups for networking and financial investments. The Bavarian start-up is now closing a seven-figure financing round itself, valuing it at ten million euros, according to SalsUp. The money will be used to expand the company, which currently has 60 employees.

The concept behind it: SMEs and mid-sized companies want innovation, but often do not have the opportunities that large companies have to launch their own start-up program. In the SalsUp network, they can find start-ups in which they want to participate and work together on something new. According to SalsUp, 95,000 start-ups and 8,500 companies are active on the marketplace. Founded in 2020, the company also has offices in Vienna, Basel and Brixen.

In addition to the investment round, SalsUp has also expanded its shareholder base to include Stephan Assmann. In future, he will accompany the start-up alongside founder and CEO Bernhard Schindler and shareholder Gerold Wolfarth.
