SalsUp receives seven-figure sum

The start-up SalsUp is now valued at ten million euros. It is also expanding its shareholder base.

Search start-up to invest, offer companies with capital - this is the principle of SalsUp. The company connects small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups for networking and financial investments. Now the Bavarian start-up is closing a seven-figure financing round itself, valuing it at ten million euros, according to SalsUp. The money will be used to expand the company, which currently has 60 employees.

The concept behind it: SMEs and mid-sized companies want innovation, but often don't have the opportunities as large companies to launch their own start-up program. In the SalsUp network, they can find start-ups in which they want to participate and work together on something new. There are 95,000 startups and 8,500 companies active in the marketplace, according to SalsUp. Founded in 2020, the company also has locations in Vienna, Basel and Bressanone.

In addition to the investment round, SalsUp has also expanded its shareholder base with the addition of Stephan Assmann. In the future, he will accompany the start-up alongside founder and CEO Bernhard Schindler and shareholder Gerold Wolfarth.
