The DHDL start-up receives its second financing within a year. The business angels include some big names from the scene.

The Berlin start-up Getsteps has received funding of 2.5 million euros. The money comes from STS Ventures, an early-stage investor from Cologne owned by Stephan Schubert, founder of the financial portal Onvista. The group of shareholders has also been expanded to include a number of business angels, Gründerszene reports. These include the founder of McMakler Felix Jahn, Helpling co-founder Benedikt Franke and Philip Stanger, a former manager at Apple. The valuation of Getsteps is in the double-digit millions.

It was only in the fall that the start-up received funding of 1.2 million euros, also from STS Ventures and several business angels. The founding team had previously appeared on the VOX show "Die Höhle der Löwen" (The Lion's Den) and presented their insoles, which are custom-made and sold online. However, they were unable to convince the lions and went home without any investment. "Within a week of our appearance, we generated around one month's usual turnover. We also received attention from various partners," says Annik Wolf, Managing Director of Getsteps, to Gründerszene.

The start-up only recently launched a B2B business for employees from industry. "Our goal is to finish 2021 at the upper end of our sales target of five to ten million euros," Wolf tells Gründerszene. Internationalization is currently on the agenda.
