Sharpist gets celebrity investor

Former national team player Dennis Aogo joins Berlin start-up Sharpist as an investor.
The professional footballer Dennis Aogo has joined the Berlin start-up Sharpist as an investor. The digital coaching platform is aimed at managers and middle managers who learn from 500 coaches.
"Dennis is a good fit for us because he can bring his coaching experience from top-class sport to the corporate world," co-founder Fabian Niedballa told the Tagesspiegel. Sharpist was founded by Niedballa and Hendrik Schriefer in 2018 and has raised ten million euros from investors to date. The start-up employs 50 people.
Aogo has played for the national team and clubs such as HSV, Schalke 04 and VFB Stuttgart. He explained his personal motivation for the investment to the Tagesspiegel: "The coaching period was the most important phase of my life." A coach helped him to deal with extreme situations of pressure.
