Sono Motors appoints Arnd Schwierholz to the Supervisory Board

Schwierholz has experience in the financial and mobility sectors. He will remain on the Supervisory Board until at least 2026.
At the Annual General Meeting in Amsterdam, Sono Motors reviewed the past financial year and announced a new appointment: Arnd Schwierholz will remain on the company's Supervisory Board until at least the Annual General Meeting of shareholders in 2026.
Schwierholz is a consultant and partner at Iconical, an investor in technology companies. He is also a Board Member at Starship Technologies. He was Head of Finance at Flixbus until 2021 and previously held management positions at the airlines Airberlin and Lufthansa. "With Arnd, we have a proven and highly experienced professional on the Supervisory Board who has extraordinary expertise in the areas of mobility and finance," says Sono Motors co-founder and CEO Jona Christians. "We are really excited to have him by our side as we continue to expand Sono Motors' leadership role as a pioneering company in the field of solar mobility."
For the third quarter of 2022, Sono Motors was able to increase sales in the Sono Solar and Sono Digital divisions sixfold compared to the previous quarter. Sono Motors has also secured 13 new international partners in the past twelve months. Nevertheless, the company has run into difficulties: Sono Motors needs 3,500 more reservations to finance its "Sion" solar car. If the "Save Sion" campaign is unsuccessful, the project will be abandoned.
