This new program offers sustainability-oriented start-ups the opportunity to advance their ideas in the fields of finance and real estate development. The application phase for the nine-week program has begun. The Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing and a group of partner companies are supporting the project.

Our contribution to this mission is to provide innovative companies with access to various sources of funding. In line with our vision and commitment, we support the TechQuartier Green Transformation Incubator

Christina Sell, Deutsche Börse Group's Chief Sustainability Officer Trading & Clearing

The "Green Transformation Incubator" aims to enable start-ups with a focus on sustainability to further develop their concepts and refine their business models. The focus here is on the current challenges in the area of sustainable financial services and ecological real estate development. The program includes a series of workshops in which fundamental issues of the start-up phase are addressed.

The program is financed with the support of the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing. Renowned companies that share an interest in a more sustainable financial sector have also become involved. The participating institutions include Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, ING, Deutsche Börse Group, Deloitte, KPMG and others. These companies will provide the participating start-ups with practical support and constructive feedback.

With the Green Transformation Incubator, we are addressing the most important topic of our time - the transformation of our economy in a sustainable sense. The need for effective solutions to tackle the climate crisis is growing significantly, especially in the financial and real estate sectors.

Dr. Peter Neu, Managing Director TechQuartier

The "Green Transformation Incubator" offers an optimal platform for the development of innovative products in the field of sustainable finance and green real estate. This initiative is in line with the European Green Deal, which emphasizes the importance of sustainability in various sectors of the economy. Participating start-ups have the opportunity to make valuable contacts, expand their expertise and prepare for future financing rounds.

The workshop series, consisting of masterclasses and evening events, will cover a wide range of topics including pitching, fundraising, sales, sustainable financing, ESG management and green real estate. The events take place every two weeks and alternate between on-site appointments at TechQuartier and virtual office hours.

Applications are possible until September 17. Further information on the TechQuartier can be found on the Startbase profile or on the Green Transformation Incubator homepage.
