Thomas Völker joins Whitebox

The former Moneyfarm manager is now Chief Product Officer at the digital investment consultancy.

"I am returning to my roots in the financial sector and am extremely excited to be able to join the team at Whitebox as Chief Product Officer," said Thomas Völker on Linkedin announced. The manager was previously responsible for Moneyfarm's German business, which was shut down for strategic reasons. He is now starting as Head of Product at Whitebox.

Völker decided to move to Whitebox because the company is "an absolute hidden champion" in the industry. "A lot of sound expertise, high-performing people without egomania. No rock stars, because there is no noise, but real professionals who have prioritized product and customers far ahead of marketing and PR," is how the manager assesses the Freiburg-based fintech.

Salome Preiswerk and Birte Rothkopf founded the robo advisor Whitebox in 2014. The start-up's business model consists of digital investment advice supplemented by services such as pension solutions. Whitebox primarily aims to focus on undervalued asset classes and, according to its own statements, strives to optimize customer portfolios based on findings from financial market research. Asset management is possible from an investment volume of just 25 euros.
