Tomorrow University receives EUR 9.3 million

Tomorrow University of Applied Science receives €9.3 million in Series A funding led by EduCapital to educate the next generation of change makers in the sustainable and technology-based economy.
Berlin - Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences (Tomorrow University for short) has successfully closed a Series A financing round of 9.3 million euros (10 million dollars). In total, the university has already secured 13.8 million euros in investments since 2021. This investment supports Tomorrow University's ambition to build a global community of business leaders and experts dedicated to creating a more sustainable future.
We are grateful for EduCapital's support as we continue to revolutionize the education landscape.
Christian Rebernik, Co-Founder & CEO Tomorrow University
The financing round was led by EduCapital, Europe's largest EdTech fund, and supported by several investors and angel investors, including Sparkmind.vc, Redstone, Mediahuis Ventures, 4P Capital, Zanichelli Ventures, Ralf Reichert and Daniel Jung. Other well-known business angels such as Nikolaus D. Bayer, Lin Deutschmann, Thomas Maidorfer, Verena Pausder and Mario Barosevcic and Jan Lynn-Matern from Emerge Education also supported the round.
Together we want to redefine education and promote the growth of future specialists and managers.
Marie Geneste, EduCapital
The global EdTech market is growing at an annual rate of 16.5% and will reach a value of 404 billion US dollars by 2025. This development reflects the increasing interest in new technologies and online education. As the year 2030 coincides with the European Union's climate target plans and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Agenda, the demand for professionals with specific expertise is growing rapidly in order to achieve global development and sustainability goals. However, only 13% of the workforce currently has these necessary skills.
Now is the time to capitalize on the exponential growth of the EdTech market and leverage its potential
Dr. Thomas Funke, Co-Founder & President Tomorrow University
The funding received will be used to grow Tomorrow University to expand its educational offerings, further develop its technological infrastructure and expand its operations to meet the increasing demand for innovative and future-oriented education. The university is already planning to launch a new master's program in fall 2023, the Impact MBA in Sustainability, Innovation and Leadership. This program is aimed at people who want to advance their careers while making a positive impact on society through sustainable business.
The Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences (ToU) was founded in 2021. It offers a smart distance learning program designed by entrepreneurs, academics and subject matter experts. In addition to the Impact MBA, ToU offers other degree programs and certifications, including Bachelor's degrees in Responsible Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence & Sustainable Technologies and a dual Master's degree in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Technology in collaboration with the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
