Twaice receives award

The start-up, which aims to predict the lifespan of batteries, is one of the 100 cleanest companies in the world according to a ranking by the San Francisco-based Cleantech Group.
Twaice is included in the list of the 100 most promising cleantech companies in the world for the first time and is also named Company of the Year in Europe. The Munich-based start-up offers analysis software for batteries that can predict the ageing and service life of lithium-ion batteries. Car manufacturers such as Audi are already using the service. Founded in 2018, the start-up has generated single-digit million sales to date.
Every year, the San Francisco-based Cleantech Group honors companies that make an outstanding contribution to clean technologies and are committed to sustainable growth. "We were particularly impressed by the successful financing round in March and the partnership with Munich Re, which for the first time makes it possible to insure performance guarantees for Li-ion batteries based on Twaice's monitoring and analytics," says Richard Youngman, CEO of the Cleantech Group.
