Over three million euros for Inzmo

The Berlin-based insurtech was able to raise 3.1 million euros in a recent financing round. It intends to use the money to strengthen its team, among other things.
Digital insurers have been on the rise for some time: the insurtech Inzmo has also been successful on the market for five years. It has now raised 3.1 million euros in a financing round. The round was led by Change Ventures, with existing investor Helvetia Ventures also participating.
Inzmo offers insurance for cell phones, bicycles and laptops, for example, via an app. The new capital will also be used to add rental deposit insurance to the offering. Instead of a deposit, customers will only pay a monthly fee of 3.50 euros. The start-up also plans to hire new employees.
According to information from Finance Forward, Inzmo currently has 45,000 customers, but apparently only 16,000 of them have come via the insurtech's app. The rest come via business partners such as the comparison portal Check 24 and the online mail order company Notebooksbilliger.de.
The Berlin start-up is not yet profitable, but says it wants to be this year. It is also still silent on sales figures.
