The insurtech from Berlin was able to raise 3.1 million euros in a recent financing round. Among other things, it wants to use the money to strengthen its team.

Digital insurers have been on the rise for quite some time: The insurtech Inzmo has also been successful on the market for five years. Now it was able to raise 3.1 million euros in a financing round. The round was led by Change Ventures, with existing investor Helvetia Ventures also participating.

Inzmo offers insurance for mobile phones, bicycles or laptops via an app, for example. The new capital will also be used to add rental deposit insurance to the offering. Customers will only pay a monthly fee of 3.50 euros instead of a deposit. The start-up also plans to hire new employees.

So far, Inzmo has 45,000 customers, according to Finance Forward, but apparently only 16,000 of them come through the insurtech's app. The rest come via business partners such as the comparison portal Check 24 and the online mail order company Notebooksbilliger.de.

The Berlin start-up is not yet profitable, but according to its own information, it wants to become so this year. It is also still silent on sales figures.
