Wolt and Flink cooperate throughout Germany

Wolt couriers now also deliver around 2,300 products from the Flink range. This brings the Finnish delivery service closer to its goal of becoming an "all-round delivery service".

The Finnish express delivery service Wolt is now working with the grocery delivery service Flink in Germany. Flink's entire range of goods is now also available via the Wolt app, including many of Rewe's own brands. Couriers from the Finnish provider with the blue backpacks also deliver the goods. This only applies in cities where both companies are already active. This cooperation has been tested in Berlin since December. "The cooperation with Wolt is a win-win situation for both brands," says Martin Esch, Head of Flink Germany.

The Berlin start-up with the pink backpacks, which was founded in 2020, wants to increase its own customer base through the collaboration. Wolt, on the other hand, is getting closer to its goal of becoming an "everything supplier" thanks to the deal. "This starts with a diverse range of groceries on the Wolt platform," says Wolt's Head of Germany, Oksana Lukyanenko.

The Finnish company has already entered into initial partnerships with retailers from other sectors. In Leipzig, the bike couriers also deliver products from bath bomb specialist Lush. Wolt also partners with the florist chain Blume 2000 in 13 cities.

Last year, the US delivery service Doordash bought the Finnish delivery service Wolt. In return, shareholders received a minority stake of 8.1 billion dollars in the US company. Flink, on the other hand, increased its turnover last year from 80 million euros to 400 million euros net turnover. Half of this comes from Germany.
