Zeotap raises eleven million US dollars

The Berlin-based start-up has now expanded its Series C financing round for the second time.

Zeotap has expanded its Series C financing round for the second time and raised eleven million US dollars. In July 2020, the start-up received 42 million US dollars, which was increased by 18.5 million US dollars last November. Liberty Global Ventures, the investment company of media company Liberty Global, is among those involved in the current expansion. Several business angels are also involved, as are managers in the SaaS and retail sectors. In total, investors have so far invested 90 million US dollars in the Berlin-based company.

"After our last investment round and the expansion were oversubscribed, we are delighted that we now have the opportunity to bring new investors on board," says Zeotap's founder Daniel Heer.

Heer started Zeotap in Berlin in 2014 and has developed a Customer Intelligence Platform (CIP) that enables brands to analyze customer data to make predictions. With the ID+ initiative, Zeotap has also found a solution for third-party cookies, which will be banned from 2023. ID+ provides common, persistent identifiers that connect users across the digital marketing ecosystem. This makes third-party cookies superfluous.
