Zeotap raises eleven million US dollars

The Berlin-based start-up has now extended its Series C financing round for the second time.

Zeotap has expanded its Series C financing round for the second time and raised eleven million US dollars. In July 2020, the startup had received $42 million, which was increased by $18.5 million last November. The current expansion includes participation from Liberty Global Ventures, the investment arm of media company Liberty Global. It also includes several business angels, SaaS and retail executives. In total, this means investors have put $90 million into Berliners so far.

"After our last investment round and expansion were oversubscribed, we are excited to now have the opportunity to bring new investors on board," said Zeotap's founder Daniel Heer.

Heer started Zeotap in 2014 in Berlin and has developed a Customer Intelligence Platform (CIP) that allows brands to analyze customer data to make predictions. Zeotap has also found a solution to third-party cookies, which will be banned from 2023, with the ID+ initiative it launched. ID+ provides common, persistent identifiers that connect users across the digital marketing ecosystem. This eliminates the need for third-party cookies.
