Immomio takes over DIT

The two proptechs are merging and are now bundling a total of 1.4 million residential units under management. At the same time, a new shareholder joins the company.

Proptechs Immomio and DIT are merging to become the largest start-up in the German housing industry. The companies announced this on Wednesday. DIT will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Immomio, but will continue to exist as a separate brand. DIT founder Kai Teute will also remain on board, becoming a member of the advisory board and a shareholder in Immomio. At the same time, a new shareholder, W&W Brandpool, is joining Immomio. W&W is taking over the shares of real estate consultancy Aareon, which will remain a cooperation partner of the proptech.

"In several joint customer projects, our companies have already demonstrated the added value that linking our products brings for landlords and tenants," says Immomio founder and Managing Director Nicolas Jacobi. "The merger will enable us to set a new standard for the digital customer experience in the industry."

Immomio currently offers end-to-end solutions for the rental process. Among other things, landlords can use it to digitally record and process rental agreements. Among other things, DIT offers apps for analyzing its own property portfolio. According to the companies, the merger means that they are now responsible for 1.4 million managed rental units.
