15 million US dollars for Aware

The start-up wants to make the healthcare system more digital and transparent - now the founders are raising new capital for their laboratory values app.
The Berlin-based start-up Aware has raised 15 million US dollars in a recent financing round. The round is led by Lakestar. Cherry Ventures and June Fund are also investing in the company. Angels Katharina Jünger (Teleclinic), Simon Bolz (Klara), Florian Otto (Cedar) and Manuel Grossmann (Amino Collective) are also participating in the round. Unicorn founders Naren Shaam (Omio), Christian Reber (Pitch) and Lucas Cranach (Onefootball) are also investing in Aware.
Founded in 2021, the health start-up is developing an app that evaluates laboratory values in a way that patients can understand. Customers will be able to book their appointment for a blood test in the app and then receive their blood values within 24 hours. The founders behind the idea are Florian Meissner, Ramzi Rizk and Ferdinand Schmidt-Thomé. The founders want to make the healthcare system more digital, more transparent and more inclusive. "Personalized and data-driven healthcare is the future of medicine, and we believe that regular blood tests and health checks are the first steps towards this future," explains Managing Director Florian Meissner. The start-up is currently testing its product. Market entry is planned for the end of the year.
