The start-up wants to make the healthcare system more digital and transparent - now the founders are raising new capital for their lab results app.

Berlin-based startup Aware raises $15 million in a recent funding round. The round is led by Lakestar. Cherry Ventures and June Fund are also investing in the company. Angels Katharina Jünger (Teleclinic), Simon Bolz (Klara), Florian Otto (Cedar) and Manuel Grossmann (Amino Collective) are also participating in the round. Unicorn founders Naren Shaam (Omio), Christian Reber (Pitch) and Lucas Cranach (Onefootball) are also investing in Aware.

Founded in 2021, the health startup is developing an app that evaluates lab values in a way patients can understand. Customers will be able to book their appointment for a blood draw in the app and then receive their blood values within 24 hours. The founders Florian Meissner, Ramzi Rizk and Ferdinand Schmidt-Thomé are behind the idea. The founders want to make the healthcare system more digital, transparent and inclusive. "Personalized and data-driven healthcare is the future of medicine, and we believe that regular blood tests and health checks are the first steps into this future," explains CEO Florian Meissner. The start-up would currently be testing its product. Market entry is planned for the end of the year, he said.
