42watt raises single-digit million amount

The Munich-based cleantech company has thus completed its pre-seed financing round. It intends to use the money to further expand its platform.
The Munich-based cleantech 42watt successfully closes its pre-seed financing round. The lead investor is BonVenture. Business angels such as Christoph Behn via the Better Ventures Business Angel Club and Kristofer Fichtner, co-founder of Thermondo and Ecoworks, also invested in the start-up. The exact amount is unknown, but 42watt says it has raised a single-digit million amount. The capital will be used to expand the product portfolio and increase marketing activities.
42watt offers a platform with which the company aims to support property owners on their path to climate neutrality. Customers can have an individual renovation roadmap (iSFP) drawn up. Almost all of the refurbishment measures listed in the plan are subsidized by the state at a rate of five percent. Creating the iSFP costs a one-off fee of 400 euros, with the state adding 1,300 euros. The start-up supports owners in researching possible refurbishment measures through to implementation.
Mario Speck, Marcus Dietmann and Jörg Überla founded 42watt at the end of 2021, basing their advice on the German government's climate targets in the building sector. Accordingly, they want to support owners in reducing energy consumption per square meter to below 42kWh.
