The Munich-based cleantech thus closes its pre-seed financing round. It intends to use the money to further expand its platform.

Munich-based cleantech 42watt successfully closes its pre-seed financing round. Lead investor is BonVenture. Among others, business angels such as Christoph Behn via the business angel club Better Ventures and Kristofer Fichtner, co-founder of Thermondo and Ecoworks, also invested in the start-up. The exact amount is unknown, but according to its own information, 42watt collected a single-digit million amount. The capital is to be used to expand the product portfolio and increase marketing activities.

42watt offers a platform with which the company wants to support property owners on their way to climate neutrality. Customers can have an individual renovation roadmap (iSFP) drawn up. Almost all the renovation measures listed in it are subsidized by the state at a rate of five percent. The preparation of the iSFP costs a one-time fee of 400 euros, and the state adds 1,300 euros. The start-up supports owners in researching possible renovation measures all the way to implementation.

Mario Speck, Marcus Dietmann and Jörg Überla founded 42watt at the end of 2021, basing their advice on the German government's climate targets for the building sector. Accordingly, they want to support owners in reducing energy consumption per square meter to below 42kWh.
