Aiga Senftleben becomes part of the Billie management team

The co-founder of the company previously worked as a legal advisor at Paypal and eBay, among others. She will now be responsible for the fintech's employer branding, among other things.

Berlin-based fintech Billie has appointed co-founder Aiga Senftleben to the management board. This is the first time the company's management has been expanded. Lawyer Senftleben has been responsible for legal affairs and compliance at the B2B payment provider since 2016 and is Chairwoman of the Billie Board.

Senftleben has worked as a legal advisor at Paypal and Ebay, among others. In the same role, she headed the legal departments of Funding Circle Europe and Zencap. "At Billie, we believe in equality and diverse teams. To build a good product, you need a diverse talent pool, an open corporate culture and different perspectives," says Aiga Senftleben. In her new role, she wants to give more weight to the topics of team, corporate culture and employer branding. She also wants to focus on the topics of equality, diversity and fairness in the workplace.

Billie was founded in 2016 by Senftleben, Christian Grobe and Matthias Knecht. The company describes itself as the leading provider of "buy now, pay later" payment methods (BNPL) for business customers. It offers digital payment services to business-to-business companies. Based on risk models, fully digitalized processes and a tech platform, Billie aims to offer large and small companies fast liquidity, automated workflows and access to modern payment solutions.
