Along gets one million euros

The Berlin-based start-up has won over Philipp Westermeyer and Artjem Weissbeck, among others.
The German start-up Along was able to raise millions in its first round of financing. Various business angels, including Alex Chung (Giphy), Dieter Rappold (Speedinvest Pirates), Philipp Westermeyer (OMR) and several funds, including APX, have invested. The start-up intends to invest the money in the development of the product.
The start-up Along was founded by Julian Philipp Nagel, Frederik Nagel and Thabo Mphuthi in 2022. It specializes in simplifying negotiations with freelancers. Their clients are usually start-ups or agencies and, according to Along, this leads to a problem: you can't agree on a common denominator with the client. Along aims to solve this with a ready-made interface that stores all the important information for negotiations, including PDFs, emails and WhatsApp messages. Founder Julian Philipp Nagel says: "We see a strong need for a single virtual hub that creates clarity for everyone involved."
Investor Philipp Westermeyer also sees a need in the market: "We really do use a number of software tools for negotiations at OMR and my sales colleagues are pretty enthusiastic about Along's vision because it solves an important pain point: the path from the first pitch to the final offer." In the past seven weeks, Along has already convinced 62 companies of its solution and conducted a test run with them. The first version of the platform is due to be launched at the beginning of October, but will still be a private alpha version.
