The venture capitalist wants to further expand its portfolio and invest in 3D printing applications.

Munich-based AM Ventures has launched a 100 million euro fund specializing in industrial 3D printing applications. The investors are family offices, asset managers, medium-sized companies, international corporations, but also founders who were previously supported by AM Ventures.

"The fact that the founders of portfolio companies are now investing in our fund is a great endorsement of our extraordinary efforts," says Johann Oberhofer, co-founder and managing partner of AM Ventures. The AM Ventures portfolio currently comprises 17 companies in six countries. These include Headmade Materials, LightForce Orthodontics, Lithoz, DyeMansion, 3Yourmind and Conflux Technology. The new fund is intended to expand this portfolio.

"The additive manufacturing industry has seen steady and strong growth over the last ten years," says Arno Held, co-founder and managing partner. He is convinced that start-ups play a key role in the development of 3D technology. The technologies could help industrial goods to be produced more sustainably.
