Ananda Impact Ventures launches new fund

The VC secured 108 million euros for its fourth core impact fund. Ananda is one of the leading impact venture capitalists in Europe.

The impact-focused venture capitalist Ananda Impact Ventures has raised 108 million euros for a new fund. The VC states that its fourth core impact fund was significantly oversubscribed. It originally wanted to raise 75 million euros.

Johannes Weber and Florian Erber founded Ananda Impact Ventures in 2009. According to the VC, it manages a total of 200 million euros from private and institutional investors.

With the newly launched fund, the VC wants to invest in technology companies that are committed to social and ecological issues. The companies currently being supported include Open Bionics, UESO Digital Health and Ororatech.

The financed start-ups should be successful in terms of both impact and financial return. In doing so, Ananda wants to help maintain the mental health and resilience of the founders. Alain Godard, CEO of the European Investment Fund, who invested in the new fund, is also convinced of this vision: "Ananda Impact Ventures is a true pioneer with a strong track record in the growing market for impact investing in Europe. The fact that we have now invested for the third time in a row is testament to the team's expertise when it comes to supporting impact-oriented companies and generating effective returns," he says.
