Andreas Busemann goes to Konux

The Munich-based start-up is pleased to welcome Andreas Busemann as CRO of Konux. He previously worked for various subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn, among others.
Konux plans to create 100 new jobs with its current financing round. This also includes new managers: the start-up has now announced that Andreas Busemann will take over the position of CRO. Founder Andreas Kunze is delighted with the addition: "He is an important asset and reinforcement for our team on our journey to transform rail transport for a sustainable future."
Busemann has a lot of experience: He was CEO of Vossloh until 2019 and previously worked for various subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn. Commenting on his decision, Busemann says: "As an independent service provider, Konux focuses entirely on optimizing infrastructures, not on selling them. I find this innovative approach, combined with the agility of the entire team, absolutely convincing." At Konux, Busemann also meets former colleagues such as Volker Kiefer, who works as a consultant for the start-up and was previously on the board of Deutsche Bahn.
Konux concluded a 15-million-euro deal with Deutsche Bahn at the end of 2020. The Munich-based start-up aims to make rail transportation more sustainable and effective through SaaS solutions, for example by using sensors that warn of material fatigue in good time. A financing round of 80 million US dollars was only completed in mid-January.
