Anonos buys Statice

The US data protection company wants to expand its platform with the acquisition of the Berlin-based fintech.
The US data protection company Anonos is taking over the Berlin-based fintech Statice. The companies did not disclose financial details of the Statice takeover. The co-founders of Statice, Omar Ali Fdal and Mikhail Dyakov, will become members of the Anonos management team. All 23 employees of the Berlin-based start-up are to be taken over. Anonos now employs 65 people, most of them in Europe.
"Statice and Anonos share the common goal of helping companies get more out of their data," says Ted Myerson, Co-CEO and President of Anonos. The US company offers a technology for encrypting used data. With Statice, Anonos wants to make its platform more comprehensive.
Statice is based in Berlin and was founded in 2017. According to the start-up, it develops data protection technologies to help companies drive data-driven innovation while protecting the privacy of individuals. With the help of Statice software, companies can generate privacy-compliant synthetic data for any type of data integration, processing and dissemination.
