European venture capital firm btov Partners has rebranded as b2venture after a record year in 2022.

The new name reflects the firm's strategic decision to harness the power of its angel investor community to generate more synergies for its portfolio companies. b2venture has a long-term investment approach and focuses on sustainable growth and early-stage investments in ambitious technology companies.

The company pursues two approaches to financing promising early-stage start-ups:

  • a direct investment approach for angel investors to fund start-ups in all sectors and stages
  • Dedicated funds for more specific portfolio strategies

Overall, this two-pronged financing approach has produced a successful track record. These include Blacklane, DeepL, 1KOMMA5°, SumUp and Raisin DS. b2venture's flagship fund is the Digital Tech Fund, which invests in B2C and B2B-oriented companies in the fields of AI, SaaS, fintech, logistics, digital health and marketplaces.

b2venture CEO and founder Florian Schweitzer emphasized that the firm remains focused on investing in outstanding and unique companies with market-defining products and services.
