ATMs for Bitcoin

The start-up Spot9 is setting up Bitcoin ATMs together with Hamburg-based Sutor Bank.
Spot9 plans to set up several Bitcoin ATMs in Germany at the beginning of next year. The ATMs are intended to be an alternative to buying Bitcoin online. According to the operators, users can exchange cash for digital currencies, making it easier to integrate purchases into their everyday lives. To do so, they have to register on the company's website. "Spot9's vision is to enable everyone to use our Bitcoin ATMs, even without extensive prior knowledge," says CEO Johannes Gorski.
The Berlin-based start-up is working together with Sutor Bank. The ATMs meet all the requirements of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Sutor Bank is responsible for compliance with the Money Laundering Directive. The Austrian Kurant GmbH, IDNow, Coinfirm and Prosegur are also involved in the project. The first test ATM was installed in Berlin in mid-December
