Crocus Labs closes seven-figure seed investment round

The start-up produces lighting solutions for vertical farms and greenhouses and has now been able to convince various investors with this approach.
Crocus Labs successfully closes its seed investment round and raises an undisclosed seven-figure sum. The Berlin-based company manufactures lighting for vertical farms and greenhouses and was able to convince various investors with its idea. The fresh capital comes from High-Tech Gründerfonds and Brandenburg Kapital and will now be used by the start-up for research and development.
Founded in 2020, the start-up uses proprietary semiconductor technologies to develop its LED lighting systems. The aim is to reduce the costs of operating indoor farms and improve the quality of the products grown.
The company now wants to finance research and production. In addition, tests are now to be carried out at various customers in Brandenburg, marketing is to be focused on and further areas are to be developed.
