Crocus Labs successfully closes its seed investment round and raises an undisclosed seven-figure sum. The fresh capital comes from High-Tech Gründerfonds and Brandenburg Kapital and will now be used by the start-up for research and development.

The start-up, founded in 2020, uses proprietary semiconductor technologies to develop its LED lighting systems. The goal is to reduce the cost of running indoor farms and improve the quality of the products grown.

Now the company plans to fund research and production. In addition, tests will now take place at various customers in Brandenburg, marketing will be focused and further areas will be developed.
