Deeptech Staex raises around 1.6 million euros

In 2021, the start-up won the Deep Tech Award. Now the company has received funding.
The Berlin-based start-up Staex has raised 1.65 million euros in its pre-seed round, the company announced. The funding comes from investors Brandenburg Kapital and Blockwall Capital. Business angel Andreas Möller is also participating.
The two founders Alexandra Mikityuk and Philip Toepffer want to build a bridge between the IoT industry and Web 3.0 with their software. Staex wants to incorporate new technologies into existing applications to network complex devices and ensure data security. This is to be used in the development of modern infrastructures for cities and intelligent supply systems.
IoT applications could make energy and transport systems in cities more intelligent and thus save money. This has not been possible to date because, according to the company, the established IT systems are too heterogeneous. Previous applications are inefficient and cannot be scaled with IoT applications and Web 3.0 applications. This is where Staex wants to start with its software.
