2021, the start-up won the Deep Tech Award. Now the company has received funding.

Berlin-based startup Staex raises €1.65 million in its pre-seed round, the company announced. The funding comes from investors Brandenburg Kapital and Blockwall Capital. Business angel Andreas Möller is also participating.

The two founders Alexandra Mikityuk and Philip Toepffer want to bridge the gap between the IoT industry and Web 3.0 with their software. Staex wants to introduce novel technologies into existing applications and thus network complex devices and ensure data security. This is to be used in the construction of modern infrastructures for cities and intelligent supply systems.

IoT applications could make energy and transportation systems in cities smarter, saving money. So far, this has not been possible because, according to the company, the established IT systems are too heterogeneous. Previous applications are inefficient and cannot be scaled with IoT applications and Web 3.0 applications. This is where Staex wants to start with its software.
