Lukasz Gadowski invests in the Australian start-up HB11 Energy.

The co-founder of Delivery Hero and Spreadshirt has a new role: Lukasz Gadowski is joining the supervisory board of Australian start-up HB11 Energy, which aims to build nuclear power plants based on nuclear fusion.

The start-up was founded a year ago. The Australians are trying to fuse hydrogen and boron-11 atoms to generate energy. The scientific director is physics professor Heinrich Hora. "Heinrich Hora is the pioneer of hydrogen-boron fusion - the most elegant approach in this field that I have come across so far," Gadowski tells start-up scene. "A difficult task, but even the attempt itself is worth it. "HB11 Energy wants to build its first reactors in just eight years. "Our reactor is clean and absolutely safe. It can even be placed in densely populated areas, as a catastrophic core meltdown as with nuclear fission reactors is ruled out," Hora tells Gründerszene.
