Exit at Monavinci

Monavinci has been supporting artists from developing countries since 2018. Now the founder has sold the Berlin start-up to K&L Wall Art.
The art-tech start-up Monavinci, founded in 2018, has been sold: The home decor company K&L Wall Art has acquired the Berlin-based company. "Personalized art, as offered by Monavinci, is a great idea and complements Wall Art's offering. That's why we didn't have to think twice about investing," says Managing Director Nico Schneider-Lohrentz. "We will try to further develop Monavinci with our ideas in the best possible way."
The start-up offers personalized drawings that customers commission and that are created by artists exclusively in developing countries. Founder Hassan Elammar is an artist himself. "Monavinci was and remains a project close to my heart. We have given many talented artists in developing countries the opportunity to make a good living from their art. Their hobby has become a profession and this has often been a dream come true for them and their families," explains Elammar.
Elammar is pleased about the future of his company: "I am therefore delighted that we have a strong buyer in K&L Wall Art, who shares our vision and will continue to develop Monavinci." The start-up's investors include Rebuy founder Marcus Börner and Around Home founder Robin Behlau.
