The German government is supporting the start-up with a research allowance. The company intends to use this to cover its personnel costs for certain projects until 2025.

Driving digitalization in the construction industry and reducing the ecological footprint of construction companies - that is Flexcavo's vision. The start-up has now received a research grant of 2.5 million euros from the German government. The company intends to use this to cover personnel costs for projects related to sustainability and digitalization in the construction industry.

Benedict Aicher and Leonhard Fricke founded the start-up in 2020 and are working on optimizing the use of construction machinery through software solutions. Flexcavo owns and rents construction machinery to companies. The founders are also developing software that can be used to manage vehicle fleets and construction projects.

The personal proximity to construction machinery rental companies helps to identify and solve fleet management problems. By exchanging machine and logistics data, a detailed overview of the fleet and ongoing processes can be mapped. Real-time data collection would lead to economic benefits for construction companies and save CO2 through optimized processes.
