The company has ambitious goals - and wants to enter another seed round in the next six months.

The Berlin-based start-up Lumaly has completed a financing round and received over one million euros. The company intends to use the investment to further develop its product and achieve constant user growth. The early-stage investor Dutch Founders Fund led the round. German Media Pool, TA Ventures and Tekton Ventures also contributed money.

The start-up was founded in 2021. It has developed a browser extension that displays corresponding voucher codes as soon as users visit an online store. The codes are tested in the shopping cart - and the voucher that offers the biggest saving can be used immediately, according to the company. According to Lumaly, it already had 300,000 users in its first year. On average, users should pay 12.3 percent less per purchase thanks to the vouchers.

"Lumaly has already shown great potential in its first year with its browser extension," says investor Roman Kirsch. "The high level of trust from partner stores and the attention from users show that the shopping experience in the online shopping sector still has room for improvement and can be sustainably improved in the future with features like those from Lumaly."

Lumaly obviously has big goals: The company is already looking to enter another seed round in the next six months. According to the company, the target is five million euros. New functions are also to be added soon: The browser extension is to become an "all-round shopping assistant", explains the start-up.
