Mobiko receives money from Swiss insurance group

The mobility start-up now plans to use the money to employ twice as many people as before.
The Basel-based insurance group Baloise and the start-up Family Office from Weingarten in Baden-Württemberg are investing in the Munich-based company Mobiko. The company was founded by Audi Business Innovation and the company builder Mantro. The company is dedicated to the topic of mobility budgets. Exactly how much money the investors have put into Mobiko has not been disclosed.
Mobiko intends to use the money to expand its mobility ecosystem and continue to grow. The company plans to double its workforce by the end of the year. Around 30 people will then be working for the Munich-based start-up. "We will also continue to develop our technology and drive scaling forward," hopes Nicola Büsse, COO at Mobiko. "Our goal with Mobiko is to become the place where companies can manage, view and automatically bill their entire business mobility in compliance with tax regulations," adds CVO Andreas Reichert.
Founded in 2018, the start-up Mobiko aims to offer companies a solution for managing their employees' mobility with a mobility budget that can be used flexibly on a monthly basis. The company's name is an abbreviation of the word "mobility contingent". Employers receive a tool to manage employee mobility, automatically invoice it in line with tax regulations and intensify sustainable mobility behavior. The aim is to save on company mobility costs and promote environmentally friendly behavior
