The mobility startup now plans to use the money to employ twice as many people as before.

The Basel-based insurance group Baloise and the startup Family Office from Weingarten in Baden-Württemberg are investing in the Munich-based company Mobiko. The company was founded by Audi Business Innovation and the company builder Mantro. The company is dedicated to the topic of mobility budgets. Exactly how much money the investors have put into Mobiko was not disclosed.

Mobiko plans to use the money to expand its mobility ecosystem and continue to grow. The company plans to double its headcount by the end of the year. About 30 people are then expected to work for the Munich-based startup. "We will also continue to develop our technology and drive scaling," hopes Nicola Büsse, COO at Mobiko. "Our goal with Mobiko is to become the place where companies can manage, view and automatically account for all their operational mobility in a tax-compliant manner," adds CVO Andreas Reichert.

Founded in 2018, the startup Mobiko aims to offer companies a solution to manage their employees' mobility with a monthly mobility budget that can be used flexibly. The company's name is an acronym for the word "mobility quota." Employers are provided with a tool to manage employee mobility, automatically account for it in a tax-compliant manner, and intensify sustainable mobility behavior. In this way, they are expected to save company mobility costs and promote environmentally friendly behavior
