The Magdeburg-based healthtech thus completed the pre-Series A financing round. The company's own app is now to be made available nationwide.

The digital health start-up Neotiv from Magdeburg has closed its Pre-Series A financing round and raised ten million euros. The money comes from Capricorn Partners, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Vega Ventures, among others. Founded in 2017, the company intends to use the new capital to accelerate its international product launch.

The start-up offers the Neotivcare app. It uses digital memory tests to support customers with self-perceived memory problems. The app is also designed to help relatives and doctors diagnose mild cognitive impairments. According to the company, the tests have so far been used in around 5,250 cases in the care program, citizen research and clinical studies.

The number of dementia and Alzheimer's patients worldwide is estimated at 32 million. According to Neotiv, a further 69 million are in the early stages of the disease. According to David Berron, co-founder of Neotiv, diagnosing them in the early stages is a major challenge because currently available screening methods cannot detect them. "This is exactly where Neotiv comes in."
