New financing for Zizoo

Boat vacations have become more popular during the pandemic. The start-up has benefited from this and is now opening offices in Athens and Miami.
The boat rental platform Zizoo announced a new round of financing today. The latest investment would bring the total amount raised since the company was founded to over 30 million US dollars. According to the company, two US investment funds have also invested in the current round alongside existing investors. The amount of the financing is not known.
According to Zizoo, the company recently recorded an increase in turnover of over 150 percent over the course of the year. The company also expects sales growth of more than 100 percent this year. "The boat rental market has exploded in recent years, as the number of boats produced has increased enormously and a younger audience has also discovered boat tours as a new form of travel," says Anna Banicevic, CEO and co-founder of Zizoo. She founded the boat rental platform together with Sinan Masovic and Ivan Miletic in 2015. The company rents out sailing boats, catamarans, yachts and speedboats. Over 200,000 customers worldwide are now registered on the platform.
In addition to the branch in Berlin, the start-up is currently opening offices in Athens and Miami. "This investment will help us to open up further markets and expand our community on the platform - making Zizoo the most important gateway and central technology for boat rentals," says Banicevic about the current financing round.
